What was your motivation?
I decided to change my diet because I was tired of not having enough energy to play with my son. I was also tired of taking blood pressure medication. So I decided to try the famous Keto diet! This journey has been challenging, but overall it was totally worth it!
How did you change your eating habits on the Keto diet?
I began to eat less than 30 grams of carbs daily. I cut out sugar entirely and increased my water intake.
What did your workout routine consist of?
To be honest, I didn’t really work out during my transition. However, after a year of maintaining my weight, I began to add exercise to my daily routine. I work with a trainer three times a week. When I don’t work out with my trainer, I utilize YouTube.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 251 pounds, and my current weight is 195 pounds.

When did you start your weight loss journey? How long did your transformation take?
I started my weight loss journey back in November 2019. My transition took about 9-10 months. I learned this journey is not easy, and maintenance can be even harder than losing weight.
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
No, I didn’t have any weight loss surgery.
What advice would you like to share with women who want to lose weight?
My advice: No matter what, don’t lose hope or give up. You are going to have some good days and bad days but keep striving because it’s all worth it in the end.
